We no longer sell printed textbooks because the state licensing exams and insurance legislation change frequently and we have no way of updated books that have already been printed and shipped.
All requests for refunds, exchanges, or upgrades must be made within 30 days from the date of purchase and only if the other criteria listed below are met:
If you meet the criteria above, you will receive a response from our staff after they have processed your refund.
Each course subscription is active for 6 months, no exceptions. The courses take anywhere from 1 to 4 weeks to complete. We give everyone 26 weeks to complete the course to account for busy work schedules, illnesses, family emergencies, etc. Therefore, the extension is "built-in".
If you would like to complete a course that has already expired, you can repurchase the course from our website. Repurchasing the course will provide another 6 months of access to your course.
Why do we impose a six month expiration date? Insurance is a rapidly changing business. Laws are constantly changing, the state insurance departments frequently change state exam vendors which can completely change the topics that are covered on the state licensing exam. We have full time employees whose job it is to make online updates in real time so students can be assured that the material they are studying is current. The price of the subscription covers the use of the course and all the updates for a 6 month period of time. After that period of time has expired, the subscription must be repurchased in order to have access to the course and all the updates for an additional 6 months.
You should send the affidavit to the North Carolina address printed on the affidavit itself. If you have an old affidavit that someone in your office has "pre-printed", you will need to go back into your Virtual Classroom and print the affidavit from there to make sure it is up to date. This affidavit also include all the instructions you need on receiving your course completion certificate. If your question is about the licensing process (fingerprinting, bond amounts, etc.) please call the Insurance Department in the state where you will be applying for your license.
How long will it take to receive the course completion certificate? This depends on the state and if the course is for an adjuster or agent. For most states that require a course completion certificate, it will be mailed the next business day after the fax/email of the affidavit is received. Other states, including the state of Texas, require that we have the original affidavit in our possession before the certificate of course completion is mailed. The state of Georgia permits us to email the certificate to the student. However, for most states the certificate of course completion must be mailed to the student as he or she must have an original copy with blue signatures in order to take the state licensing exam.
PLEASE NOTE: Most – but not all - adjuster licensing exams do not require a course completion certificate. We are frequently asked about course completion certificates for adjuster courses that do not require one. The student should always consult the information handbook (sometimes called the Candidate's Bulletin) to find out if a course completion certificate is necessary. The handbook/bulletin link is on the website of your state testing vendor. The vendor for your state licensing exam, and the link to their website, was listed in your Virtual Classroom course and is also included in the instructions of your final exam simulator.
