This course takes the average student 20 hours to complete however, it must be finished within six months from the date of purchase. Most course vendors permit 60 to 90 days to complete the course, we provide six months for the same price, therefore no free extensions are provided if the course is not completed in six months. Scoring 70% or better on this exam will qualify you to receive the course completion certificate. The course final exam is accessible only after the student has scored 70% or better on four practice exams (2 untimed and 2 timed; or all 4 timed);
  
  
• Course completion certificate after passing the course final exam. This certificate is necessary to be permitted to take the state licensing exam ONLY IF YOU DO NOT HAVE SIX MONTHS OF VERIFIABLE MOTOR VEHICLE APPRAISING EXPERIENCE. If you have this experience, taking the course final exam is not necessary;

PLEASE NOTE: There are two requirements to receive the Pennsylvania Motor Vehicle Damage Appraiser License:

 

1. You must pass the PSI state licensing exam. Our course is meant to prepare you to pass this state licensing exam.

2. You must either have six months of continuous (verifiable appraising/estimating experience) OR if you do not have the experience, the Pennsylvania Dept. of Insurance will accept a training certificate or course completion certificate from a course related to this field within the last 3 years. Our Virtual Classroom course ALSO MEETS the training certificate requirement  (meaning, you WILL receive a course completion certificate) if you complete the course and pass our course final exam with a 70% or better AND submit the course affidavit to our office that provides the information we need to process your certificate.

PLEASE NOTE:  Our Virtual Classroom course will substitute for the six months of continuous experience if you pass the course final exam with a 70% or better (the course final exam is on our website). If you have the six months of continuous experience, you do NOT have to take the final exam, but our course will still prepare you to take the PSI state exam.

HOW DO I OBTAIN MY LICENSE AFTER TAKING THIS COURSE:

• The state exam vendor for Pennsylvania is PSIexams.com.
  
  
• The PSI state licensing exam contains 100 questions. The permitted time limit is 200 minutes (three hours, 20 minutes). This means you will have about 2 minutes to answer each question.
  
  
• Students who do not have six months of verifiable motor vehicle appraisal experience, must pass our course final exam to earn the course completion certificate necessary to apply for your license.
